Advanced digital technology to provide us with fast and highly detailed images of your pet. A very valuable tool in diagnostics.
Pathology
We are able to perform a wide range of diagnostic blood and urine tests.
Our in house pathology equipment enables us to run pre-anaesthetic blood tests, general health profiles, monitor critically ill patients and treat emergency patients effectively.
We also use a specialist laboratory service when required.
Surgical Theatre
Our surgical theatre is well equipped with up to date anaesthetic machines, monitoring equipment and electrocautery. This allows us to provide safe and effective anaesthesia and surgery.
Dentistry
Our IM3 dental machine enables us to clean and polish your pet’s teeth effectively.
Weight Management Program
Obesity has a profound effect on all body organs and joints.
Keeping your pet’s weight in a healthy range is a good way to ensure that your pet has a long and healthy life.
Our weight management program is a complimentary service that we offer to all of our patients with expanding waist lines.
A veterinary nurse and veterinarian will design an individual program to suit your pet’s diet and your lifestyle. We pride ourselves on providing ongoing support and advice to ensure successful weight management.
Hydrobathing
At Vital Vet we have a modern, temperature-controlled hydrobath and offer two hydrobathing options which are detailed below.
Deluxe Hydrobath :
Performed by one of our nurses. We use an all-in-one flea rinse followed by Aloveen conditioner to make your dog’s coat soft, smooth and smelling lovely!
D-I-Y Hydrobath :
We demonstrate how to easily use our hydrobath and you can do the bath yourself. We will set-up the bath for you (shampoo and towels are provided).
Medicated baths:
For those patients that require a specialised medicated shampoo application, a medicated bath can be arranged with our staff.
Please note that all hydrobaths are towel dried only.
