Vaccinations

Our dog vaccination schedule (C5) includes protection against Canine Parvovirus, Distemper, and Infectious Canine Hepatitis as well as the respiratory organisms – Parainfluenza virus and the contagious bacterial pathogen called Bordatella.

Our cat vaccination schedule (F3) protects against the respiratory viruses of cats: Feline Herpes Virus, Feline Calicivirus, as well as Feline Panleukopaenia (Parvovirus of cats). This is sufficient for indoor cats and cats that are in a secure property. The Feline leukemia virus vaccination is added to the F3 in those cats that spend time outdoors and may have contact with other cats in the neighborhood.

Puppy and Adult Dog Vaccination Schedule:

The first vaccination at 6-8 weeks of age; the second vaccination at 10-12 weeks and the third vaccination at 14-16 weeks of age. A follow-up C5 vaccination is given 1 year after the 3rd vaccination. We recommend that puppies are not allowed into public areas or areas where there are large concentrations of dogs (e.g. dog parks) until one week after their second vaccination.

Our adult vaccination protocol is Canine Parvovirus, Distemper and Infectious Canine Hepatitis triennially (every 3 years) and the respiratory components annually.

Kitten and Adult Cat Vaccination Schedule:

The first vaccination is at 6-8 weeks, the second vaccination is at 12 weeks, the third vaccination is at 16 weeks, and then we continue to vaccinate cats annually.
